Certified producers of licensed EPAL nails for the production and repair of euro-pallets since 2013. EPAL licence PL-852.
Nails used in the production and repair of EPAL euro-pallets must be licensed — a special marking on the head — and their placement on the pallet defined and repeatable.
An EPAL nail is a specialised, licensed fastener used for the production and repair of euro-pallets. It carries a special letter marking embossed on the head, is made of steel of defined hardness and has an annular ring (grooved) shank. KV, KW and KX are the codes used in the EPAL technical specification for the three basic nail types required to assemble a euro-pallet.
| Marking | Dimensions | Application |
|---|---|---|
| KV | 3.4 × 90 mm | Joining the thickest elements — fixing the blocks (bearers) to the pallet boards. |
| KW | 3.4 × 70 mm | Places that require a fastener of medium length. |
| KX | 2.8 × 40 mm | The shortest nails — joining the deck and top boards of the euro-pallet. |
